WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO YOUR BODY?

WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO YOUR BODY?

We all know that it is not what we eat that matters but what we digest, so how often is your body going through this process in a day? To keep it plain and simple: when you put food into your mouth, the relevant organs decide which is good and which is bad. The bad food goes where bad foods go, while the good food goes where the good foods go in the body. Each time we eat, this process is repeated however and the body continues this process of filtering. Simple as it is, this process takes a few hours to complete its cycle and then the organs that were at work take a much needed rest before any food is passed through again. The rest process is what I want to give you thoughts to ponder about. How much time do you give before you give your organs food to work with...

WHAT ARE YOU CHEWING?

What are you chewing? Did you know that whenever you eat, your body goes to work to digest what you have eaten? Did you know that anytime you start to chew – doesn’t matter what you’re chewing – it starts a process of reactions within your body ; stomach, your organs: liver, kidneys, intestines, bowels and your stomach as the body prepares to receive and make use of the nutrients coming through from whatever you’re chewing? So if you chew junk, sugar, chemicals, your organs would go to work to process them. The byproduct of junk, chemicals, sugar and all may be toxic and the organs have to find a way to manage the toxicity. If you eat good nutritious food however, the organs work on them and make the nutrients useful to you. If you...

WHAT IS EATING YOU?

what you have on your plate determines the nutrients you take in What nutrients you take in determine what you digest What you digest is what determines what your body absorbs and uses for you Have you considered what you have on your plate? They say the colours on your plate tell a tale about you: If it’s just white and brown, its probably just carbohydrates and meat. But a variety of colours mean you have lots of vitamins and minerals in it… Remember you are what you eat ….. So what are you eating and what is eating you?

SUGAR CRAZY?

»Posted by on Apr 28, 2015 in Health Nuggets | 0 comments

April 17 2015 I had a crazy passenger on my flight out of London today and it made me to think “why?” A nicely dressed bloke very irritable and with a short fuse, hissing and cursing at every Opportunity. Then I remembered another crazy driver in Lagos last week… Or many other road maniacs I have seen in action recently. … So Why are there so many people behaving like they’re crazy nowadays? Or are they? Are we? Why do people become irritable quickly and blow hot on a short fuse? Then I came across this and thought to share it; Less than 100 years ago, the average intake of sugar was only about 4 pounds per person per year. Studies show that the average American today consumes 150-170 pounds of sugar each year. The statistics are...

BUILD THE BODY YOU WANT

Would you put contaminated fuel in your car? So why would you put contaminated food in your body?   If you had a choice, with what material would you build your house? With bricks or Leaves? Did you know that each time we eat we are either building our bodies or destroying it?   Our bodies are reconstructed or rebuilt each year so they need solid materials for the process. The raw materials needed to build our bodies are the same needed to repair them; our bones, hair, teeth, skin, tissues, cells, eyes, organs for breathing, reproducing and perspiration are found mostly in the food we take.   Every 120 days, our red blood cells are replaced. Every 50 weeks, our white blood cells are replaced. Every 21 days on average, our skin is replaced. Colon...
